Congratulations on qualifying for the 2017 VFW 14U State Class A Tournament. On behalf of the City of Milbank and the Milbank Ball Diamond Association, we welcome you and wish you all the best of luck.

A few items of interest for you all.....

Please email a team photo, along with player numbers/roster by Sunday evening. Everything goes to the printer Monday.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all coaches on Friday morning at 9:30AM. This will be held at the Milbank Visitors Center. This is located across the street North of the ballfield. Have rosters, birth certificates and insurance forms with you please. Enter the front doors and take a right down the hall to the meeting room. Our UIC will be on hand to have a short rules session, and answer any questions you may have.

Opening Ceremonies will take place after the completion of game 2. All teams should be in full uniform. We will stage North of the third base dugout for the ceremony. We will have tournament staff directing you from there.

We have two batting cages in Milbank. One located at Legion Field. The other is in Pribyl Park. This park is located on 12th street on the South side of town. The cage at Legion Field will be closed during games however. So I would urge you to use the Pribyl Park location. There are also soft toss nets and three fields at your disposal. A courtesy would be to get in and out of the cage so that everyone can get swings in. If we have an issue with teams taking too long, we will schedule times for the cage use. Legion field will be available before games each day.

Teams will be allowed infield prior to games, we ask you keep this short as we want to stay on schedule. If we have any weather issues over the weekend or games get behind, infield will be cut out. We ask your help in keeping games on time.

T-shirts will be available for purchase at the field.

All spectators must enter the North entrance of Legion Field. NO COOLERS WILL BE ALLOWED.

We are working on a plan that all games will be webcast via the cube. Once all details are worked out, we'll send an email with the specifics.

If you need anything this week prior to your trip, please do no hesitate to call or email Scott.

Again, we look forward to hosting this event at the "Birthplace of American Legion Baseball." We are excited to have you visit our community, and if there is anything I can do to make your experience better, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I will see you all Friday.
